Kirchenbollenbach is a district of the town of Idar-Oberstein in the Birkenfeld district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

Geography and transport links

Kirchenbollenbach is located southeast of the core town of Idar-Oberstein. The place borders on the districts of Nahbollenbach and Mittelbollenbach. In the regional dialect, the region is also called "Daal". The place can only be reached via the K 38 and is on the edge of the Baumholder military training area . The Bollenbach flows through the village and flows into the Nahe . The retirement home "Pro Seniore" is on the edge of the district . The place has a multi-purpose hall and a cemetery. The music festival "Rock im Daal" takes place annually on the Waldbühne.

As part of the Rhineland-Palatinate functional and territorial reform , Kirchenbollenbach was incorporated into the city of Idar-Oberstein on November 7, 1970, together with four other communities.

A partnership between Kirchenbollenbach and Achicourt in France has existed since 1966 .
