Tijan Marei

Tijan Marei (* 1996 in Berlin ) is a German actress .

career

Marei's mother is German, her father has Circassian ancestors. Marei found her way to acting at the age of eleven, after casters noticed her at national youth games . She received a small role alongside Anna Loos in the ZDF - TV movie The echo of guilt .

In 2013 she played a small supporting role in the thriller Who Am I - No system is safe . She then took part in the Inga Lindström film adaptation of My Sister's Children .

Marei got her first leading role in 2017 in the ARD production Ellas Baby , directed by David Dietl . In the television film, she plays a 16-year-old student who unintentionally becomes pregnant during a school exchange in France. For her performance she was nominated for the Hessian Film Award as "Best Actress". In 2019 she played the title role in the fairy tale film Snow White and the Magic of the Dwarfs . At the beginning of 2020 she was seen as the murder victim Jule Reinhardt in the ZDF two-parter Das Mädchen am Strand .
