Tilottama ( Nepali तिलोत्तमा Tilottama ) is a city ( municipality ) in the central Terai of Nepal in the Rupandehi district .
The city was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Anandaban , Karaiya , Madhawaliya , Makrahar , Shankarnagar and Tikuligadh . Tilottama is located southeast of Butwal on the east bank of the Tinau . The urban area covers 112.4 km². The Siddhartha Rajmarg trunk road leads from Butwal via Tilottama to Siddharthanagar . The Mahendra Rajmarg trunk road , the main west-east connection of Nepal, runs along the northern city limits .

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Tilottama had 93,183 inhabitants (43,755 of them male) in 20,785 households.
