Tim Erfen (born October 22, 1982 in Mönchengladbach ) is a former German soccer player . In the professional field, he last played for the second division SSV Jahn Regensburg until summer 2013 .

Career

The 185 cm tall Tim Erfen usually plays on the right side in midfield and defense. After playing for the second teams of VfL Bochum and MSV Duisburg in the Oberliga , he had his first appearance in the third-highest division for FC Carl Zeiss Jena , where he played in the Regionalliga Nord in the 2005/06 season . From there he moved to Rot Weiss Ahlen . Under coach Heiko Bonan he became a regular there in the 2006/07 season . Before the unexpected rise of Ahlen in the 2007/08 regional league season , he moved to Rot-Weiss Essen for a year , where Heiko Bonan was his coach. After Essen could not qualify for the newly created 3rd league , he was signed, without a club, by the Wuppertaler SV Borussia after a three-week trial training with manager Carsten Pröpper for a year. The one-year contract in Wuppertal was not extended.

In January 2010 Erfen signed with SSV Jahn Regensburg as a contract amateur until summer 2010. After he was used 13 times in the third division team in the second half of the season, his contract was extended by one year. On the third last day of the match he was sent off with red. Although he played 27 games this season, including 20 on the grid, his engagement was not continued. After being out of a club for half a year and only keeping fit privately, he returned to SSV Jahn Regensburg on January 19, 2012. The return began again with a dismissal (yellow-red), he played eight more times in the second half of the season and reached 3rd place with the team and thus the relegation. In the relegation second leg at Karlsruher SC he was substituted on at half time and was sent off in the 87th minute with yellow and red. Jahn lost another player in stoppage time, but was able to save a 2-2 draw over time and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. After the immediate relegation, Erfen left Regensburg in the summer of 2013 and ended his professional career.

He then began training as a freight forwarder and from August 2013 played at SV Fortuna Regensburg in the Bavarian State League, Staffel Mitte . After two years at Fortuna, he returned to North Rhine-Westphalia in 2015 and joined the league promoted SC Düsseldorf-West . From September 2016 to June 2017 Erfen played for SV Donaustauf in the Bavarian State League Middle .
