Tim Hepburn (* 1987 ) is an Australian jazz musician ( trombone , euphonium ).

Live and act

Hepburn began learning the trumpet while in school. After studying the instrument for two semesters in Perth , he moved to Cologne, where he studied jazz trombone with Henning Berg at the Musikhochschule there (with a semester abroad at the Musikhochschule Luzern with Nils Wogram ). He was a member of the Federal Jazz Orchestra , with which the album City Grooves was created under the direction of Maria Baptist , and of the State Youth Orchestra of Hesse; he toured internationally with both formations.

Hepburn belonged to the Alexander Bühl Sextet and the New German Art Orchestra around Lars Seniuk (and is documented with both formations on phonograms). He also plays in the Large Ensemble of Stefan Schultze and Subway Jazz Orchestra , came to the two albums. He can also be heard on albums by Karpatenhund , Gee Hye Lee , Carlos Reisch , the Tobias Becker Bigband and the Heavytones .
