Tim Hunter (Director)
Tim Hunter (born June 15, 1947 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American director .
Life
Hunter is the son of screenwriter Ian McLellan Hunter . Hunter began his career in the film business in 1979 as a screenwriter with the film Angry Belly . In the 1980s he worked as a director of various feature films. From the 90s onwards, he mainly turned to television and was involved in various television series.
For his film Das Messer am Ufer , Hunter was nominated for the 1988 Independent Spirit Award for Best Director .
