Timmeitz is a district of the municipality of Zernien in the integrated municipality of Elbtalaue , which belongs to the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony . The village is about a kilometer west of Zernien.
history
The place was first mentioned in documents in 1450 under the name Tymmetze in the treasury register .
On July 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the municipality of Zernien.
