Gülden is a district of the municipality of Zernien in the joint municipality of Elbtalaue , which is part of the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony . The village is 1.5 km south of the core area of ​​Zernien.

The first written mention of the place can be found for the year 1360 in the Lüneburg feudal register under the name Gulde or Goldin . The place name comes from the Slavic term gola , which stands for heather .

On July 1, 1972, Gülden was incorporated into the municipality of Zernien.
