Gülden is a district of the municipality of Zernien in the joint municipality of Elbtalaue , which is part of the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony . The village is 1.5 km south of the core area of Zernien.
history
The first written mention of the place can be found for the year 1360 in the Lüneburg feudal register under the name Gulde or Goldin . The place name comes from the Slavic term gola , which stands for heather .
On July 1, 1972, Gülden was incorporated into the municipality of Zernien.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gülden belongs to the parish of Zernien .
The small rectangular half-timbered building dates from 1786/87. A roof turret is located above the massively expanded western section . The simple rural furnishings with pulpit altar date from the time it was built .
