The Viesebeckerbach is a 7.3 km long, southwest and left tributary of the Erpe in the Hessian districts of Waldeck-Frankenberg and Kassel ( Germany ).

The Viesebeckerbach always runs a little northwest outside the Habichtswald nature park in North Hesse . Its source is located 1.2 km east-southeast of Landau (southeastern part of Bad Arolsen ) and 450 m southwest of the Radeberg ( 327.5  m above sea  level ) at an altitude of about 315  m ; The federal highway 450 leads directly past the source in the section between Landau and Gasterfeld (northwestern part of Wolfhagen ) .

The Viesebeckerbach flows east-northeast up to its 5.2 km in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. After the district border, it runs north past Gasterfeld and under the district road  92 (Gasterfeld - Viesebeck ). When you then pass the Dörneberg nature reserve near Viesebeck , the stream turns east of the Engelbritzen desert to the north. Then it flows east past Viesebeck (north-north-west part of Wolfhagen), which is on the K 92. After taking up the creek from Gerstenberg (Viesebecke) and passing the village Viesebeck and protected landscape Wünne at Viesebeck the river turns to the northeast. He changes from the district of Kassel back to the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, runs along the K 92, which merges into the K 24 at the district border, and picks up the stream from the Heuborngrund.

After crossing  under Landesstraße 3075 (Wolfhagen– Ehringen ), the Viesebeckerbach reaches the southern edge of Ehringen (south-southeastern part of Volkmarsen ), where it flows into the Diemel tributary Erpe, which flows there from the southeast, at an estimated height of around 194  m .

Catchment area and tributaries

The catchment area of the Viesebeckerbach is 21.23 km². Its largest tributaries by far are the 1.8 km long creek from Gerstenberg (Viesebecke) , which flows east of Viesebeck at creek km 2.65, and the 1.3 km long creek from the Heuborngrund, which is just south of Ehringen at the brook km 0.5 flows in.
