Tito Solari Capellari SDB (born September 2, 1939 in Pesariis di Prato Carnico , Friuli-Venezia Giulia region ) is an Italian religious , missionary and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Cochabamba .

Life

After being in the Congregation of the Salesians of Don Bosco had taken place, he received after the philosophical and theological studies at December 23, 1966 ordination . In 1974 he went to the mission to Bolivia , first as pastor in Yacapani , then from 1981 as provincial of the Bolivian province of his religious community.

On December 16, 1986, Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and titular bishop of Aquae Novae in Numidia . The episcopal ordination received his Archbishop Luis Aníbal Rodríguez Pardo on 19 March 1987. co-consecrators were the apostolic nuncio in Bolivia, Archbishop Santos Abril y Castelló , and the Archbishop of Cachabamba, Gennaro Maria Prata Vuolo SDB.

On March 7, 1998, he was elected Archbishop Coadjutor of the Archdiocese of Cochabamba with the right to succeed Archbishop René Fernández Apaza . He started this on July 8, 1999. In the holy year 2000 he received the pallium of a metropolitan from Pope John Paul II .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on September 24, 2014.
