The Tittenbach is a small brook near Seggauberg near Leibnitz in western Styria. The settlement of the same name in the valley basin is no longer in use today because of its name.

Run and landscape

The Tittenbach rises south of the Frauenberg near Rettenberg , in the local area of Seggauberg , at about 330  m above sea level. A. Height. It then runs eastwards, and flows after just under 2 kilometers at 261  m above sea level. A. Höhe opposite Altenmarkt in the Sulm , which ends its arc around the spur mountain of the Frauenberg and approaches the Mur towards the southeast at the edge of the Mur plain.

The valley basin of the Tittenbach covers about 4 km² and separates the Frauenberg ( 381  m above sea level ) north and the ridge of the Seggauberg ( 366  m above sea level ) west of the Rettenberg ( 356  m above sea level ) south.

history

(Wine) mining rights on the Tittenbach are already documented in 1389, they sold the Kelzen to their brothers-in-law, the Saurauers , later the Windischgrätz , the Khünburg , the Schranz von Schranzenegg , and in 1613 the Prankh . In 1575 the grain toe changed from the Polheimers to the Kuenring in equal parts with a Mr. Amann, and later passed on to the bishops of Seckau , who resided at Seggau Castle and held it until the end of the manorial rule.

The houses in the valley basin, a group and various scattered houses , were previously listed as a locality in Tittenbach , this name has become unusual and is no longer officially recorded, the houses have the addresses Seggauberg . Since the municipal structural reform in Styria in 2015, they have belonged to the city of Leibnitz.
