Benda is a titular bishopric on the Balkan Peninsula and part of Christianity in Albania.

Benda belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Durrës . The seat was in Bendensis , the later city of Stephaniaka - today a desert at the mouth of the Ishëm River .
“It goes back to an earlier bishop's seat in the ancient city of Bendensis, which is in the Roman province of Macedonia or Epirus nova in today's Albania . The seat of this diocese may later be found at the Šen Li Church, an hour and a half from Išmi. The ruins of this medieval church (once perhaps the monastery of S.Petri de Lingarica) are now completely isolated, but the size of them ... testify to its former importance.
