Tobey Wilson (also Tobias Rapp , real name Tobias Schmeißer , born August 24, 1977 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German tenor and entertainer living in Berlin .

Tobey Wilson began his musical career at the age of eight as a soprano soloist in the Windsbach boys' choir . In addition, u. a. as yes-man at the Kurt Weill Festival in 1990 . After his voice broke, he became a tenor soloist. He left the choir in 1995 after almost 10 years and around 550 appearances and took care of his solo training. Since then, Wilson, who previously performed under the maiden name of his mother "Rapp", has performed under stage names. This was followed by several albums, which, however, did not achieve any noteworthy placements and a genre change away from classical to light music. Since then he has appeared in some 50 television shows and gala was singer, among others at the Rose Ball , the German Film Ball of the Rose D'Or the Walters Award , Enjoy the Stars , the Champions League Night . He became known to a wider public as an interpreter of national anthems. He sang the German national anthem since 2003 in numerous international matches of the national football team, the opening of the 2006 World Equestrian Games , the European Grand Prix in 2007, the Grand Prix of Germany in 2010 of Formula 1 , the basketball playoffs in 2011 and 2014, the Supercup in 2015 and numerous other sporting and political events. At the DTM in 2009 and 2010 he was on the grid with the national anthem, and on the winners podium with the winning anthem at every race across Europe. Wilson says he has 42 national anthems in the press, in the national language in his repertoire.

In 2011, Wilson founded Creaktivisten GmbH, a creative company specializing in conception, events and photo productions. Among other things, he realized campaigns for Marlboro, Riani or Müllerbräu or the well-known Lambertz calendar as well as events such as the Intouch Awards from Bauer Verlag.

In 2016 he withdrew from active agency business and switched to the real estate industry with the establishment of Rapp-Bau GmbH.

He has been in a relationship with model Sabrina Gehrman since 2012, and their son Paul was born in June 2018.
