Tobias Wildi

Tobias Wildi (* 1973 in Ennetbaden ) is a Swiss historian , archivist and entrepreneur .

Life

Wildi grew up in Baden and studied history , political science and computer science at the universities of Zurich and Lausanne .

His dissertation, The Dream of Your Own Reactor , published by Chronos Verlag in 2003 , received wide attention. In this work, Wildi critically examines the events surrounding the nuclear accident on January 21, 1969 at the Lucens experimental nuclear power plant . The focus of Wildi's work is the technological and social history of Switzerland. Since 2006 Wildi has turned to archive and library science .

With Andreas Steigmeier , he founded Docuteam GmbH for information management and archive services in 2003. Among other things, he published the book IndustrieWelt as head of the historical archive of ABB Schweiz AG with Norbert Lang . With Patrick Kupper he founded an archive on the history of Swiss nuclear power.
