The Todendorf class is a series of five class 905 security boats that were built to secure the firing areas in the Bay of Kiel .

General

The Todendorf class was commissioned from Lürssen on November 28, 1991 as a replacement for the "coast guard boats" of class 369 . The hull is made of steel and divided into five compartments by four bulkheads . Boats are powered two MWM - diesel engines of the type TBD 234 V16, with each 755 kW on two hard propeller effect.

The unarmed security boats are named after the military training areas of the Bundeswehr . They were initially put into service for the Schleswig-Holstein Territorial Command and are now subordinate to the Putlos Training Area Command .

One unit, the Bergen , was taken over by the Lebanon Navy on June 17, 2008 .
