Thomas Barth (music producer)

Thomas Barth , also known as Toma Moon (born November 4, 1977 in Görlitz ) is a German music producer, composer and musician.

Life

His musical career began in 1990 with some friends, including Henry Nix and Matthias Gierth (today: Stoneface & Terminal ) with electronic pop and dance music. He had his first national successes with the indie pop band Cyberspace Junkies ( noiseworks records ), for which he was singer and guitarist and wrote the songs. In addition to his publications with the NuJazz duo Jazzomás , his indiepop / rock trio toma and the crossover band Some Evil Answers , he appears with the Notion Sound Collective as a pop act , remix artist and commissioned or film composer. Thomas Barth has been producing in his own recording studio "Studio Mondbasis" in Hamburg since 2004, where he also works as a Mixing & Mastering Engineer. Since March 19, 2018, he has published a weekly music column on the Arcor and Vodafone websites .

He is also a sound and event technician and teaches various initiatives in the German music industry and the Goethe Institute . On behalf of the German Phono Academy , he works with Jürgen Stark and Zeus B. Held as a lecturer and music producer with the SchoolTour project throughout Germany (also accompanied by Mousse T. , Roachford , die Prinzen , Kurtis Blow and TM Stevens ). The Goethe-Institut Boston picked him for the pilot project German tour with the project manager Juergen Stark and his colleagues Sebastian Krumbiegel , Jörg Lassek and Zeus B. Held by Massachusetts . Since 2014, he has also, along with Dark Age frontman Eike Freese and 4Lyn producer Florian Sommer also a music producer and lecturer at the Wacken Open Air oriented Wacken Music Camp and since 2016 with other colleagues such as u. a. Ohrfeindt producer Olman Viper, Florian Speckard ( In Extremo ) and Matthias Richter ( Schandmaul ) with the Metal Winter Wonderland in Bavaria at Alteglofsheim Castle ( Bavarian Music Academy ), a similar project that is also funded and initiated by the Wacken Foundation . In 2011 and 2012 he was also a member of the jury of the “ Robert Johnson Guitar Awards”, sponsored by Otto Waalkes , together with Uli Jon Roth , Marcus Deml and Mickey Meinert , and was the musical director.

Thomas Barth lives in Hamburg .
