Tomoyoshi Koyama ( Japanese 小山 知 良 , Koyama Tomoyoshi ; born March 19, 1983 in Sagamihara , Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese motorcycle racer .

Career

Koyama made his debut in the motorcycle world championship in the 2000 season at the Grand Prix of the Pacific in Motegi, Japan, in the 125 cc class on a Yamaha . In the same year he also won the Japanese championship in the eight-liter class.

In the 2007 season, the Japanese competed for the Red Bull KTM factory team of the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM in the class up to 125 cc and had his most successful year in the World Cup to date. In June 2007 he was able to retract the first Grand Prix victory of his career at the Grand Prix of Catalonia in Barcelona . With five more podium places, Koyama took third place in the overall standings behind Gábor Talmácsi and Héctor Faubel . In 2008 he finished 17th in the 125 cc World Championship, still racing for KTM.

In 2009 , Koyama competed in the eight-liter class for the Chinese manufacturer Loncin . He reached the 24th place overall with 17 points.

In the 2010 season Tomoyoshi Koyama starts on an Aprilia for the team Racing Team Germany by Dirk Heidolf in the 125cc class of the Motorcycle World Championship.
