Toroslar (named after the Taurus Mountains ) is the largest of the four districts of the city of Mersin and at the same time a district of the Mersin province in southern Turkey . The district is located in the east of the province and borders the provinces of Konya and Niğde . Toroslar has 250,034 and the district 281,130 inhabitants (as of 2014). In addition to the city of Toroslar, there are five other municipalities (Gözne, Ayvagediği, Güzelyayla, Soğucak and Arslanköy) and 32 villages .
