The 7th Tour d'Indonesia (officially: Speedy Tour d'Indonesia , German: Tour of Indonesia ) took place from October 2nd to 12th, 2011 in Indonesia . The race was part of the UCI Asia Tour 2012 , where it was the first race of the season, and was classified in category 2.2 . The first eight drivers in the overall standings and the first three of each stage as well as those wearing the yellow jersey of the overall leader received points for the America ranking list after each stage.

The overall winner of the stage race was the Australian Eric Sheppard ( Plan B Racing Team ). He won with 17 seconds ahead of the runner-up German Christoph Springer from the German team Halanke.de-Öschelbronn . The podium was completed by Chun Hing Chan from Hong Kong .

Attendees

Ten local Indonesian teams and nine foreign teams, including from Australia , Malta and Malaysia , which with the Terengganu Cycling Team also provided the only Continental team on the tour, took part. With the elite team Halanke.de-Öschelbronn , an amateur team from Germany also took part in the Indonesia tour.
