The 13th Tour of Utah 2017 was an American road bike race in the state of Utah . The stage race took place from July 31 to August 6, 2017 . It was part of the UCI America Tour 2017 and classified there in the 2nd HC category.

Tyler Magner (USA / Holowesko) won the first stage after Logan in the mass sprint ahead of Chris Lawless (Great Britain / Axeon). As a result, Magner took over the overall management.

Brent Bookwalter (USA / BMC) won at the Snowbasin Resort . On this mountain finish on the second stage, he won the sprint of a small group ahead of Sepp Kuss (USA / Rally), who took the overall lead.

In the mountain time trial of the third stage over 9 km to Big Cottonwood Canyon , Rob Britton (Canada / Rally) was the fastest. Behind him followed Serghei Ţvetcov (Romania / Jelly Belly) with 13 seconds back. Britton took the overall lead.

The fourth stage to South Jordan City won in the mass sprint John Murphy (USA / Holowesko) ahead of José Alfredo Rodriguez (Mexico / Elelvate). Britton kept the overall lead.

Stage five after Bountiful decided Travis McCabe (USA / United Healthcare) about 30 men in the sprint CV assigns a strong group in front of Marco Canola (Italy / Nippo). Britton defended the overall lead one more time.

The sixth stage ended with a mountain arrival at the Snowbird Resort . This was won by the Italian Giulio Ciccone (Bardiani) as a soloist, 35 seconds ahead of his team-mate Simone Sterbini . Britton was able to defend his overall lead here too.

Marco Canola (Italy / Nippo) won the seventh and final stage around Salt Lake City . He pulled away from a group of around 25 people about 800 meters from the finish and won by two seconds over Brent Bookwalter (USA / BMC), who won the group's sprint.

Britton kept the overall lead and thus won the entire tour. In the end, he was 22 seconds ahead of Gavin Mannion (USA / UnitedHealthcare), who finished second. Third was Serghei Țvetcov (Romania / Jelly Belly), who was 32 seconds behind Britton in the end.
