European Touring Car Championship 2003
The 2003 European Touring Car Championship season consisted of 20 runs on 10 different tracks (2 runs per race weekend). 2003 ETCC went first to the scoring system of Formula 1 (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1). At the final race in Monza , ex-F1 and Champ Car driver Alessandro Zanardi returned to racing for the first time since his serious accident in 2001 at the Lausitzring . European champion was the Italian Gabriele Tarquini .
