Towednack is a municipality and a town in the former District Penwith the county Cornwall in England . The parish is bordered by Zennor to the west, Gulval to the south, St Ives to the north and Ludgvan parish to the east . The place is about 9 km north of Penzance . The last service in the Cornish language is said to have taken place in Towednack in 1678 .

The community is also home to computer game developer Colin Garbutt , who invented the Windows game Kye .
