Sennen ( Cornish : San Senan) is an approximately 9 km² community and a place in the former district of Penwith in the county of Cornwall in England . The community includes the places Sennen with the settlement Sennen Cove , Trevescan , Carn Towan and Land's End and is located about 13 km west of Penzance .
It lies on the Atlantic Ocean and borders the parish of St Just in Penwith in the north, St Levan in the south and St Buryan in the east. The place Sennen is the westernmost of the English mainland. It is accessible via the A30 expressway less than 2 km from Land's End. The place has a well-known bay with a sandy beach (Sennen Cove), which is also a popular surfing area.
