The neighboring communities were Reinsberg , Käbschützal , Klipphausen , Meißen , Nossen and Wilsdruff .

Before its dissolution, the municipality of Triebischtal consisted of 20 districts. The municipal administration was located in the district of Miltitz.

history

Triebischtal was created on March 1, 1994 through the merger of the three municipalities Burkhardswalde-Munzig , Garsebach and Miltitz. On January 1, 1999, Tanneberg was added. Taubenheim followed on November 1, 2003.

In 2011 the municipalities of Triebischtal and Klipphausen agreed to voluntarily merge into one larger municipality. The main reasons for the merger were the better budget situation of the municipalities as well as the “wedding bonus” paid out by the Free State of Saxony, which means a payment of 100 euros per inhabitant for the first 5000 inhabitants in the event of voluntary municipal associations. The merger took effect on July 1, 2012.
