The Trifelsblick Hut , also called Hut Trifelsblick and Gleisweiler Hut , is a refuge in the Palatinate Forest managed by the Gleisweiler section of the Palatinate Forest Association . It is near Gleisweiler in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Südliche Weinstrasse on the southern slope of the Teufelsberg .
The hut, which is open on weekends and on public holidays, offers a view of Wasgau , the Black Forest and the Strasbourg Cathedral and the Vosges Mountains .
Geographical location
The Trifelsblick Hut is located in the Palatinate Forest Nature Park and in the Palatinate Forest-Vosges du Nord Biosphere Reserve . In the southern part of the Haardt , it is located near the border with the forest area of Walsheim in the municipality of Gleisweiler, the core of which is 1.2 km to the southeast. history
When the local group Gleisweiler of the Palatinate Forest Association was re-established in 1969, the aim was to build a hut. The Trifelsblick hut was built in 1970 with the financial support of the Gleisweiler community.
Access and walks
The Trifelsblick hut can be reached on forest paths and paths. Various ascent routes are possible from Gleisweiler and Burrweiler . Starting from Burrweiler, the ascent can be made over the Annaberg. In Gleisweiler you can choose the direct ascent starting from the Badstrasse sanatorium or the longer route over the Hainbachtal . Another access is possible starting from the valley of the Modenbach along the Ziegelbach over the Dreimärker way spider .
The Teufelsberg with the Teufelsfelsen and the Wetterkreuz as well as the St. Anna Chapel on the Annaberg can be reached as hiking destinations near the hut . The neighboring huts of the Palatinate Forest Association are the St. Anna Hut , the Landauer Hut and the Waldhaus Drei Buchen .
Opportunities for viewing
From the Trifelsblick hut there is a view towards Wasgau , the Black Forest and, if visibility is particularly good, to the Strasbourg Cathedral and the Vosges . In particular, there is a beautiful view of the Queich valley near Annweiler and the Trifelsland with the rock castles Trifels , Anebos and Scharfenberg , as well as the red sandstone rocks Asselstein , Jungturm , Fensterfels and Münzfels .
