The Trio Enescu was founded in 2011 in Frankfurt am Main and refers to the Romanian composer George Enescu in its name . The trio has been under contract with the GENUIN Classics Recording Group since 2013 . Within a very short time after its founding, the trio was awarded first prize in the Helexpo international chamber music competition in Thessaloniki and the prize of the Brahms Society Austria.

The trio's formative teachers were the Alban Berg Quartet and Harald Schoneweg ( Cherubini Quartet ), in whose classes they completed their postgraduate studies at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne . The trio received further important artistic impulses through the collaboration with Paul Badura-Skoda and Paul Dan .

Gabrielė Gylytė

The Lithuanian pianist studied at the National Art High School MK Čiurlionis and graduated with honors from the Lithuanian State Academy of Music and Theater in 2002 as a soloist, music teacher, chamber musician and song accompanist with Petras Geniušas . During her studies, she took part in various master classes, including a. with Christopher Elton, Patrick O'Byrne , Peter Eicher, Lazar Berman , Bryce Morrison and John Lill .

From 2003 she studied in Frankfurt am Main and received interpretative impulses from Lev Natochenny . In 2009 Gabrielė Gylytė graduated from the Frankfurt University of Music with a diploma, followed in 2012 by the concert exam at the Mannheim University of Music with Paul Dan in chamber music .

Alina Armonas-Tambrea

Alina Armonas, sister of actor Sabin Tambrea , received her first lessons at the age of 4. In 1995 she was accepted into the master class of Rosa Fain at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf , continued her studies in 1998 with Viktor Tretyakov at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne and graduated in 2003 with top marks. Master classes with Thomas Brandis , Igor Ozim and Stefan Gheorghiu deepened her studies. Alina Armonas-Tambrea was awarded prizes in her early years, including at the international violin competition "Jeunesses Musicales" in Belgrade and at "Jugend Musiziert" at the national level. Appearances as a soloist with the Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, the German Chamber Academy, the South Westphalia Philharmonic and others have taken her to many European countries. From 2007 to 2010 Alina Armonas held the position of deputy concert master at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and has been teaching violin and chamber music at the Akademie für Tonkunst since 2010 . She plays a violin by Gaetano Guadagnini (1796).

Edvardas Armonas

The Lithuanian- born cellist Edvardas Armonas (* 1978) was awarded important prizes such as the “Landgrave of Hesse Prize” in Kronberg early on. Then Edvardas Armonas became the first scholarship holder of the “Rostropovich-Cello-Foundation”. There are also significant prizes in international competitions, such as the Grand Prix of the “B. Heran “in the Czech Republic, 3rd prize in the cello competition in Liezen and many others. Edvardas Armonas began his studies with Rimantas Armonas at the Lithuanian Music Academy in Vilnius , continued them at the Cologne University of Music with Frans Helmerson, where he completed his diploma and concert exam with distinction. Studying abroad at the "Conservatoire National Superieur de Paris" with Philipp Muller complemented his training. Master classes with Mstislav Rostropovich , Daniil Shafran , David Geringas , Yo-Yo Ma and Arto Noras gave him further artistic impulses. As a soloist and chamber musician he gave concerts a. a. at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival together with Baiba Skride and Kristjan Järvi , at the Usedomer Festival, the Allegro Music Festival in Taunus and the "Festival Alexandre Paley et ses Amis" in Moulin d`Andé. His concert tours have taken him all over Europe , to Japan and the USA . In 2008 his debut CD appeared with works by J. Brahms , R. Schumann and C. Franck . In 2011 Edvardas Armonas was appointed to the jury of the “Princess Margaret of Hesse” competition in Darmstadt.

Concerts and management

The Trio Enescu has been performing at home and abroad since 2011. In addition to numerous concerts in the Beethoven-Haus Bonn, in the Alte Oper in Frankfurt , in the Friedrich-von-Thiersch-Saal in the Kurhaus Wiesbaden and in the Vilniusser Philharmonie the Trio Enescu performed in the Izumi Hall in Osaka , Japan . In 2015 the three artists made their debut at the Rheingau Music Festival .

The Trio Enescu was represented by the ARCANO artists' office in Cologne.

On May 7, 2017, the Trio Enescu announced on their Facebook page that they broke up after 5 years of successful work.

The Trio Enescu's debut CD with works by Enescu and Fauré was released in 2014 on the GENUIN Classics label .
