Trois-Monts is a town and a former French commune with the last 427 inhabitants (2016) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Caen and the Canton of Thury-Harcourt (until 2015: Canton Évrecy ).
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Trois-Monts and Goupillières were merged to form Commune nouvelle Montillières-sur-Orne . The former municipalities were not granted the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Trois-Monts.
geography
Trois-Monts is located about 17 kilometers south-southwest of Caen on the Orne , which borders the area in the east. Trois-Monts is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Sainte-Honorine-du-Fay in the north, Grimbosq in the east, Goupillières in the south, Ouffières in the south and south-west, La Caine in the south-west and Préaux-Bocage in the west.
