Trude Haefelin

Gertrud "Trude" Margaretha Franziska Haefelin (born July 1, 1914 in Passau , † October 3, 2008 in Bruckmühl ) was a German actress .

Life

Haefelin grew up as a half- orphan in Munich-Schwabing after his father was killed in the First World War . She attended the Lyceum of the English Misses in Wasserburg am Inn and received acting lessons at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich . She made her stage debut at the age of 16 at the Schauspielhaus Munich . She soon came to Berlin, where she appeared at the Rose Theater, the Theater am Nollendorfplatz , the Deutsches Theater and the Schiller Theater under Heinrich George .

From 1932 Haefelin took part in many film productions, often quite extensive supporting roles. She was often seen as “the charming appendage of Bavarian primeval creatures” or as “the second woman, the naive, the lover”. After the end of the war, she continued her film career for several years. In her last feature film, Rosen-Resli, from 1954, she played one of two women who were being courted by a serious destroyer ( Arno Assmann ).

Haefelin's first marriage was to producer Willy Constantin . In 1957 she married the cabaret artist and actor Jürgen Scheller (1922–1996) in her second marriage . She went on tour with him after her film career ended. Among other things, she appeared in the Hamburger Kammerspiele . In 1974 she and Scheller founded the Paul Klinger Artists' Social Work ( in honor of Paul Klinger ). She spent her last years in a nursing home in Bruckmühl, where she died in 2008. She was buried in the Perlach cemetery, where her second husband had already been buried.
