The Cheet ( Russian Четь ) is a right tributary of the Kija in the Krasnoyarsk region and in the Tomsk Oblast in Siberia .

The Cheet rises 2 km west of Bogotol in the southeast of the West Siberian lowlands in the Krasnoyarsk region. It initially runs in a north-westerly direction, later it turns to the south-west and finally flows into the Kija, 12 km above its mouth in the Tschulym . The Cheet has a length of 432 km and drains an area of ​​14,300 km². The mean discharge at the mouth is 66 m³ / s. The Cheet shows a strongly meandering behavior over its entire length . The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . Floods therefore regularly occur in May . At the end of October / beginning of November, the Cheet freezes. The river remains ice-covered until the end of April / beginning of May.
