Tumen (rapper)

Tumen (born February 14, 1992 in Wädenswil ; real life Tanju Solinas ) is a Swiss rapper from Gattikon .

biography

Tumen grew up with his single mother and sister in Gattikon. Tumen started rap at the age of 11. Together with some friends he recorded his first songs in a basement in the region. However, the formation dissolved again after a few months, as only Tumen continued to rap. In the future, he was more focused on his solo career and released the two free EPs Ächte Rap Part 1 and Ächte Rap Part 2 in 2005 . A year later, Ächte Rap Part 3 followed , on which Gleiszwei was also represented. Shortly before the release of this sound carrier, Tumen's level of awareness rose throughout Switzerland through numerous interviews with Swiss media such as 20 Minuten , whom Tumen described as the youngest rapper in Switzerland . Tumen was represented with a song and a skit , each with Gleiszwei and JJ, on the Swiss rap sampler Schwiizer Rap Garde: The Next Generation , which was released in December 2006 via Universal Music . End of Tumen was from Schaffhausen hip-hop label Exodium under contract taken.

On February 13, 2007, Tumen released an anthem for FC Zurich , which was produced by Beatbone . From then on, the song was played at every home game in the second half of the 2006/2007 season . In addition, Tumen was featured on the front page of the free newspaper 20 Minuten. On March 31, 2007, the mixtape Young Blood was released , which was also the first release of an LP for Tumen. It included guest contributions by Gimma , Bensch, Lügner , LIV and Tommy Vercetti , among others . With this release, he became the youngest Swiss rapper to ever release an LP.

In the future he also appeared more and more live. In July 2007 he was seen at the Touch the Lake Festival as an Openmic Newcomer , where Dilated Peoples , Spezializtz , Prinz Pi and Blumentopf also performed. Then came the song True Story , which is dedicated to Tumen's father. In the song he asks him to contact Tumen. The song reached its destination and his father got in touch with Tumen. The online mixtape Made in 48h was also released .

Work on his debut album Futurama then started in mid-2008 . The fourth part of the Ächte Rap series was also released, again as a free download. It also contained the song Zeiche setze , which dealt with the riots on the sidelines of the football game FC Zurich - FC Basel . The online single Augen zu und durch , which is dedicated to Michael Hirte , also appeared. After several postponements, Tuen's debut album Futurama was finally released on December 10, 2010 . It contained a total of 19 tracks and features from JJ, Guerrero and Eko Fresh . Most of the album was produced by Tibner 97ner and Stern Eis .
