The Akazienweg underground station is a station on the Cologne light rail system . Of the district Bickendorf preferred U-station is from the lines 3 and 4 of Cologne Transport operated. It was opened in 1992 and has two tracks. Entry and exit are handled via a central platform .
location
The station is located in the Bickendorf district under Venloer Strasse , which leads out of Cologne in a north-westerly direction . There it is at the intersection of Venloer Strasse and Akazienweg shortly before the intersection with the HGK route and the Cologne Bickendorf freight station.
architecture
The subway station has an intermediate level. The central platform is designed as a high-floor platform, with the existing elevator to the street the station is therefore barrier-free. In addition, the station is artistically designed.
