The Metro Station Hot church is a stop of light rail in Mülheim an der Ruhr . It is maintained by the Mülheimer VerkehrsGesellschaft and is located on the Essen-Mülheimer route of the U18, which is operated by the Essen Stadtbahn .
history
The Heißen Kirche - Essen Wiener Platz section , which also includes the Heißen Kirche train station as a temporary terminus, was opened in 1977 as a model route for future light rail lines in the Ruhr area. The further expansion in the direction of Mülheim city center beyond the Heißen district could only be completed in September 1979.
location
The train station is located on the Heißen market square and the evangelical church of grace that gives it its name. The exit is directly on the market square, where there are connections to five bus routes. The space around the station entrance is also used as a Christmas market in the run-up to Christmas.
