Uladzimir Sassimovich

Uladzimir Sassimowitsch ( Belarusian Уладзімір Сасімовіч , Eng. Transcription Uladzimir Sasimovich, also Russian Владимир Сасимович - Vladimir Sassimowitsch - Vladimir Sasimovich * 14. September 1968 ) is a former Belarusian javelin thrower .

However, he was only able to win a medal at his first international appearance in Tokyo, where he was fortunate that his only valid final throw landed at 87.08 m - a distance that was behind the two Finns Kimmo Kinnunen (gold with 90.82 m) and Seppo Räty (silver with 88.12 m) won the bronze medal.

Uladimir Sassimowitsch won four national championships: one for the Soviet Union (1991, 84.46 m) and three for Belarus: 1997 (75.14 m), 2000 (84.42 m) and 2003 (79.43 m)

With 87.40 m, thrown on June 24, 1995 in Kuortane , he holds the Belarusian record. In 2004 he was banned for two years and then ended his career.
