Uli Hanisch (* 1967 in Nuremberg ; actually Ulrich Hanisch ) is a German set designer .

biography

Hanisch attended high school in Mülheim an der Ruhr , studied visual communication in Düsseldorf and initially worked as a graphic designer for advertising agencies before he began working with director Christoph Schlingensief in 1987 . He initially worked as the second production manager in the film Mother's Mask , later also as a set designer in films such as Das deutsche Kettensägemassaker (1990) or United Trash (1996).

In addition to his work as a production designer, Hanisch also worked as a prop master for television films and series such as The Harald-Schmidt Show or the television film Aimée & Jaguar . Since then he has worked with directors such as Tom Tykwer , Jo Baier , Sönke Wortmann , Oliver Hirschbiegel and Peter Greenaway .

In 2008 Hanisch was appointed to the competition jury at the 58th Berlin Film Festival .
