União das Freguesias de Sintra (Santa Maria e São Miguel, São Martinho e São Pedro de Penaferrim) , or União das Freguesias de Sintra for short, is a municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Sintra .
It represents the inner city parish of the city of Sintra.
The community has 29,591 inhabitants on an area of 63.55 km² (figures as of June 30, 2011).
It was created in the course of the territorial reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the municipalities of Santa Maria e São Miguel , São Martinho and São Pedro de Penaferrim . Santa Maria e São Miguel became the official seat of this newly formed community.
