The ship was built in 2003 as the Anglian Sovereign for the British company Klyne Tugs based in Lowestoft . As for the sister ship Anglian Princess , the building yard was the Chinese Yantai Raffles Shipyard. The ship, which operated under the flag of the United Kingdom, was stationed in the port of Lerwick and served as an emergency tug for the sea area of the Orkneys and Shetlands .
The deck structure is located in the front area of the ship. There are 14 single and three double cabins on board as well as u. a. a hospital and office and common rooms are available. Behind the deck structure there are various winches and the deck crane with a lifting capacity of 3 t, as well as a 344 m² working deck that can be loaded with a maximum of 5 t / m² or a maximum of 10 t / m² behind frame 23.

The ship was used in July 2012 in the wreck of the container ship MSC Flaminia .
