Uniq (until 1999 Unigate ) was a formerly listed British food company specializing in the manufacture and sale of refrigerated and frozen food , in particular salads , desserts , sandwiches , wraps , dips , sauces , dressings and ready-made meals . The Uniq Group was formed in 1959 from the merger of United Dairies and Cow & Gate to form Unigate. Uniq was one of the major suppliers to European supermarket chains (including Cadbury and Marks & Spencer ) and produced under its own and private labels . The company was headquartered in Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire , not far from London .

Uniq's sales in 2007 were £ 736m , including £ 345m in the UK, £ 209m in Northern Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Poland) and £ 182m in France. Uniq had 19 production sites in mid-2009, including 7 in the United Kingdom and 12 on the continent. Due to economic difficulties, Uniq had to sell the dairy products division to Dairy Crest in 2000 , its Wincanton logistics division in 2001 and other important subsidiaries in 2009 (including the chilled fish division in March, center of the year the French business and at the end of the year the German-Polish Nadler Feinkost Group) and retreat to the British island. In 2011 Uniq was sold to the Irish Greencore group and taken off the stock exchange.

The Nadler Group includes the brands Nadler in Bottrop , Türk & Pabst in Bottrop, Thuringian Fischfeinkost Gebrüder Hopf in Floh-Seligenthal , Pfennigs Feinkost in Sarstedt , and Lisner in Poznań / Poland; The Nadler Group was sold to the German Kamps Group (baked goods and delicatessen) in November 2009 and integrated into the Homann Group, which was already part of Kamps
  • France: Marie .
