action

Lukas lives with his girlfriend Meike, whose apartment he could never afford himself. Other things are important to him, like his buddies, his clothes and his dance style. Meike cleans up after him, runs the household and stands up for him with his boss. Only when she had to go to the hospital because of a sexually transmitted disease did she find out firsthand how little Lukas was willing to give. Meike puts Lukas in front of the door and his easy life begins to totter. Lukas can't withstand the pressure to finally grow up. The only way out seems to him to be a reconciliation with Meike, but perhaps only because it seems to be the easiest way.

criticism

“His egoism, their maturity - believable characters in a believable story, a no-frills coming-of-age film about letting go. With cinematographic security and ease, Bartosz Werner controls his feature film debut 'Weeds in Paradise' and offers his actors the platform for a consistently impressive performance. ” (Jury statement, 14th Film Festival Schleswig-Holstein - Augenweide 2010)
