Unter-Hainbrunn is a district of Hirschhorn (Neckar) in the Bergstrasse district in southern Hesse and is the smallest village in Hesse with around 25 inhabitants.

Geographical location

Under Grove Brunn is located in the Odenwald on the left side of the valley east of the Finke Bach , which flows south and near Hirschhorn with the Ulfenbach to Laxbach united. The place is in the very north of the Hirschhorn district and borders directly on the location of Ober-Hainbrunn , which is part of the town of Oberzent in the Odenwaldkreis . The place consists of three closely spaced agricultural homesteads and six other adjoining inhabited properties.

The closest localities are Ober-Hainbrunn in the north, Rothenberg in the northeast , Kortelshütte in the east , Hirschhorn in the south, about 4 kilometers away, and Brombach in the west of Baden-Württemberg .

history

The earliest surviving documentary evidence proves the existence of the place Himbrunne since the year 1390. The name Undernheimbronn has been proven since 1560. The settlement was also referred to as Haimbronner-Höfe and belonged to the Hirschhorn office, which came from Kurmainz to Hesse in 1803 as a result of the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss conclusion . In the statistics of the Grand Duchy of Hesse , the place is listed in 1863 as the courtyards of Hirschhorn with 8 houses and 53 inhabitants. Unter-Hainbrunn was already administered by Hirschhorn in the Hirschhorn district , where the Hirschhorn office gave up in 1821. The 2011 census counted 27 residents in Unter-Hainbrunn.
