The form of settlement Ober-Hainbrunn corresponds to a Waldhufendorf . The farms were laid out in a row on the slope so that the fertile soil in the Finkenbachtal could be used for agriculture and cattle breeding . The slope side was partially cleared and used to draw water through a large number of wells . Today the Neckarstraße as the main axis of the place is built on on both sides.

In addition to Neckarstrasse, there are five branching roads in Ober-Hainbrunn, which form three development areas: shortly before the exit to Unter-Hainbrunn, the Himmelreichweg begins with Im Himmelreich and Neue Strasse ; at the school building west of Mühlstrasse and east of Poststrasse towards Rothenberg; as well as in the north of the area Heckenmühle and Obere Talstraße .
