Unterthumeritz is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Japons in the Horn district in Lower Austria .

location

The place is located east of Japons and northeast of Oberthumeritz . Another district is the Pyhrahofsiedlung in the northwest.

history

Thumeritz was first mentioned in a document in 1242. The word comes from Slavic and means forest stream : from the original Tumbraz via Tumracz, Dumbritz, Thumritz, Nieder-Thumritz, Unter-Thumeritz, Unter-Thumeritz to today's Unterthumeritz.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 35 building areas with 15,049 m² and 42 gardens on 34,320 m² in the cadastral community Oberthumeritz , in 1989/1990 there were 31 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 125 and in 2009/2010 there were 54 buildings on 121 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 151 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 24 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 149 hectares and 25 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 147 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 25 hectares. The average soil climate in Oberthumeritz is 39.6 (as of 2010).
