Schweinburg is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Japons in the Horn district in Lower Austria .
location
Schweinburg is located northwest of Japons and is connected to the neighboring towns of Radl , Sabatenreith , Japons and Goslarn by state and municipal roads.
history
Schweinburg should once have been a knight's seat, because in 1335 a Simon von Schweinbort was named here as the tenant of the Herzogenburg monastery . 1335 is also the first written mention of the village.
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 51 building areas with 28,974 m² and 65 gardens on 56,430 m² in the cadastral community of Schweinburg , in 1989/1990 there were 52 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 152 and in 2009/2010 there were 69 buildings on 163 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 331 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 221 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 333 hectares and 221 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry.
