Ur (Alamanne)
Ur (lat. Urius ) was an Alemannic Gau king in the 4th century .
The Roman writer Ammianus Marcellinus reports that the Caesar (lower emperor) Julian crossed the Rhine near Mainz in 359 and concluded peace treaties with the Alemannic kings Ur, Hariobaud , Makrian , Vadomar , Ursicinus and Vestralp after all prisoners had been returned.
