Gampelen (French: Champion ) is a municipality in the Seeland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .
The elongated village has had a new train station on the BLS line from Bern to Neuchâtel since 2008 . The Zihlbrücke stop is also located in the municipality of Gampelen.

The municipality president is Barbara Béguin-Jünger (as of 2017).
The voting shares of the parties on the occasion of the National Council election in 2019 were: SVP 38.7%, BDP 7.8%, SP 12.1%, FDP 9.8%, glp 6.7%, EPP 4.4%, GPS 12.3 %, CVP 1.6%, EDU 1.3%, PUM 1.0%.

- The Fanelguet, also Vanelguet or Vanel: A farm on the Zihl Canal, which is documented as early as the early 18th century when it was drawn on a view by Samuel Bodmer in the March book .
