Büetigen is a municipality in the Seeland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .

Büetigen borders on Diessbach bei Büren , Dotzigen , Schwadernau , Studen (BE) and Lyss .
population
Büetigen has grown significantly in recent years thanks to building developments. The construction of the A5 motorway from Solothurn to Biel / Bienne has upgraded the location.
politics
In addition to the residents' community , Büetigen also has a civic community . The legislature is formed by the municipal assembly . The council has five members. The community president is Andreas Blösch (VGP Association for Community Politics, as of 2018).
The parties' share of the votes on the occasion of the 2019 National Council election was: SVP 39.9%, SP 12.7%, BDP 12.2%, FDP 6.2%, glp 7.5%, GPS 9.3%, EDU 3.8 %, EVP 0.9%, CVP 1.6%, 5G goodbye! 1.5%.
archeology
In the Chalchgraben / Burghubel are the remains of an undated earth-wood castle, of which no written sources are known.
Others
Büetigen has been part of the community association of the fire brigade upper office since 2000 and forms with the communities Lyss (district Busswil), Diessbach b. Büren and Dotzigen have a joint fire department. Major Urs Burgener from Busswil is in command. A major fire occurred in 1998 when the Traube restaurant burned down to the ground. The last major fire occurred on August 26, 2015 when a farmhouse on Oberbergweg burned down completely.
