Brüttelen (French : Bretiège ) is a municipality in the Seeland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland . There is only one community with this name, no parish of its own .

The voting shares of the parties in the 2019 National Council election were: SVP 45.2%, BDP 10.3%, SP 11.9%, glp 7.1%, FDP 7.7%, GPS 12.8%, EVP 2.2 %, Goodbye 5G! 1.1%, pirates 0.8%.
geography
Brüttelen is located in the Grosse Moos , a fertile area with almost black soils in the Bernese Seeland . The neighboring communities starting from the north in a clockwise direction are Lüscherz , Finsterhennen , Treiten , Müntschemier , Ins and Vinelz .
economy
The farms are mainly active in vegetable growing. Various craft businesses and a timber trading company are also based here.

Brüttelen is accessible with a BTI stop in the directions Biel / Bienne and Ins .
history
In 1917 the previously independent municipality of Gäserz was merged with Brüttelen.
