Bühl (in local dialect [ ˈb̥yə̯ʊ̯ ]) is a village and a political municipality in the Seeland administrative district in the Swiss canton of Bern .

geography

The village is located on the northwestern edge of the Zeeland plain on a narrow hill, which gave the settlement the name Bühl , first documented as Buͤle / Búhel in the second half of the 13th century . The neighboring communities starting from the north in a clockwise direction are Hermigene , Kappelen BE , Walperswil and Epsach .
