Treiten (French: Treiteron ) is a municipality in the Seeland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .
Treiten is a so-called mixed congregation . There is no separate parish .
geography
Treiten lies in the Grosse Moos , a particularly fertile area with almost black soils in the Bernese Seeland . The neighboring communities starting from the north and moving clockwise are Finsterhennen , Kallnach , Kerzers , Müntschemier and Brüttelen .
politics
The community president is Matthias Schumacher (as of 2013).
The voting shares of the parties in the 2015 National Council election were: SVP 58.8%, BDP 14.3%, SP 6.3%, GPS 5.9%, FDP 4.2%, EDU 3.2%, EVP 3.0 %, glp 1.8%, pirates 1.2%, CVP 0.2%.
