The Ural-43206 ( Russian Урал-43206 ) is a four-wheel drive truck produced by the Russian Uralsky Avtomobilny Sawods . It is based on the much better known Ural-4320 and has been in series production since 1996. The main difference is that the Ural-43206 has only two axes, one less than the basic model.
vehicle description

Production of the Ural-43206 began some time after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1996. Around the same time, vehicles such as the KamAZ-4326 appeared that meet a very similar requirement profile.
The trucks have been equipped with six-cylinder engines since production began. These all come from the production of the Russian Jaroslawski Motorny Sawods (JaMZ). A few years ago, JaMZ-236 motors were still used throughout. The large-volume six-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 11.15 liters has an output of 180 hp (132 kW) and was installed in vehicles such as the MAZ-500 as early as the mid-1960s . Although the JaMZ-236 is still used in trucks of the Uralsky Avtomobilny Zavod, for example in the closely related Ural-5557 , it is no longer used in the Ural-43206. Instead, more modern six-cylinder diesel engines are used. But they are still supplied by JaMZ. As of 2016, both V-engines and in-line six-cylinders will be installed. The latter achieve a maximum output of 240 PS (176 kW), with the displacement of 6.65 liters having shrunk to a good half of the older engines.
In the last few years (after 2010) there have also been vehicles whose design and construction have been fundamentally revised. They no longer have the typical long hoods of the Ural 4320, but are designed as front control arms. As with the Ural-5323 , some of the cabs come from the Iveco T series . The Ural-432065, on the other hand, received a completely different cab with a short hood, the entire cab sits noticeably far in front of the front axle. The driver's cab was taken over from the GAZ-3307 in its entirety , but without the fenders and bonnet . Since both the Uralsky Avtomobilny Sawod and the Gorkowski Avtomobilny Sawod (GAZ) belong to the same parent company, the GAZ Group , this is easily possible. As of 2016, the manufacturer is delivering the platform models with the traditional long front.
Model variants
In its basic version, the truck is built in several different versions. The following list gives an overview of the most important versions of the vehicle with standard body. It does not claim to be complete.
- Ural-43206 - basic version with flatbed and tarpaulin. 2010 still equipped with JaMZ-236M2 engine with 180 HP (132 kW), today equipped with more modern engines. The payload can be 3.5 or 4.2 tons, depending on the engine, among other things. The lighter models are offered with 230 HP, the heavier ones with 240 HP, whereby the engines installed differ significantly.
- Ural-43206-59 - version in more modern forward control design and different cab.
- Ural-432060 - model with double cab and loading crane from 2010. The payload is only 3.5 tons.
- Ural-432065 - Unlike the basic model, it is equipped with a completely redesigned driver's cab that sits well in front of the front axle. The long hood was replaced by a "short-hood construction".
- Ural-432067 - With double cabin, without loading crane. Currently referred to as Ural-43206-0551 and offered with two different engines (230/240 HP).
In addition to the versions as a platform truck, the Ural-43206 was and is also offered as a chassis without a body. These chassis serve as a platform for a whole range of special bodies. These include tank trucks as well as fire engines, special vehicles for the oil industry or trucks with superstructures for passenger transport. The list below is not necessarily exhaustive.
- Ural-43206 - Execution as a chassis without body.
- Ural-43206-1551 - chassis with double cab and without body.
- Ural-32552 - With superstructure for passenger transport. In 2010 it was still designed as a long-nosed truck, but is now also available on the market as a forward control.
- ATZ-5-43206 - tank truck for transporting 5000 liters of combustible fuel.
- ATsP-3.0-40 - Fire truck for use by fire brigades.
- BKM-515 - Mobile drilling rig for different purposes, especially for the construction of power lines.
- ANRW-43206 - Mobile repair shop for various work on oil fields and on water and sewage systems.
- 432069 Snowblower - Heavy snowblower based on the Ural-43206, the same engine is used for both the blower and the movement of the vehicle.
- MKD-43206 - Street sweeper.
- ASP-43206 - Tow truck with loading crane that can also be used for goods other than cars.
