Uruguayan national cricket team

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Uruguayan national cricket team is Uruguay's national team in cricket .

While the origins of cricket in Uruguay go back to the year 1842, when the Victoria Cricket Club was founded, the scope of the historical coverage of competitions of the Uruguayan national team is manageable. It can be noted that between 1868 and the Second World War, 29 games took place against the selection of neighboring Argentina . Uruguay was able to decide six of these competition comparisons in its favor, while they lost 21. For 2001 there are reports that at this point in time no cricket game has been played on Uruguayan soil for more than 20 years. However, the founding of a Uruguayan cricket federation, the Asociación Uruguaya de Cricket , which sought recognition from the ICC, took place soon .
